Chris and Lauren's Story
Meet Chris and Lauren Turpaud, both Church Partnership Directors for World Orphans. This dynamic couple joined World Orphans in September 2015 after a Journey Trip to Ethiopia led them to a three year commitment as part of the World Orphans team in Guatemala. In 2018 they returned to the US, but now with a beautiful addition to their family, their daughter, Natalie. Chris and Lauren recently purchased their first home in Castle Rock, Colorado, and from there they both work to develop relationships between US churches and their church partners around the world. After traveling to Ethiopia and living and working with churches in Guatemala, Chris and Lauren are uniquely qualified for their current roles.
Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies and was formerly a program manager for a nonprofit that worked to empower adults with special needs. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management and was an assistant superintendent for a paving company. The Turpauds have been married since 2012 and already have had countless adventures. They enjoy everything about being outdoors: swimming, skiing, biking, backpacking, climbing, and hiking.
