Aaron was invited to travel with World Orphans to Southeast Asia by a good friend. The idea was to use his camera and help tell the individual stories of vulnerable children in the area. He left the trip shaken, having met children who had endured abuse and faced significant need. Soon after the trip, his younger brother went to be with the Lord after a sudden heart attack. Immediately after his passing, Aaron had a nagging question: “To whom am I supposed to be a big brother?” He believed God was inviting him to reach out to his little brothers and sisters on the earth that are the most vulnerable. The ministry of World Orphans inspired him so deeply that he now serves on our board. Aaron met his wife, Michelle, at Taylor University. Together they own A&M Photography in Northern Michigan and are blessed with a son and daughter. He enjoys family time, reading, being outdoors, and staying active.
