Meet Matthew, our director of projects: Africa. Before World Orphans, Matthew was a project manager for Habitat for Humanity Waco, and a teacher at Still Creek Boys and Girls Home in Bryan, TX. Additionally, Matthew has owned and managed a construction company since 2005. With World Orphans, Matthew has traveled to Cambodia, China, Ethiopia, and Haiti. He values his relationships with international team members and considers the highlight of his role the incredible people with whom he works. When Matthew isn’t working, he is taking pictures, riding his bike, working in his yard and garden, backpacking, and camping. He lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with his wife of 15 years and five children. Their youngest is adopted from Ethiopia, and they are currently in the process of adopting a second child from Ethiopia.
