Pete's Story

Pete joined World Orphans in 2007 after retiring from his successful career running Allen’s Canning Company, a third-generation family business. Pete was initially drawn into orphan care through the adoption of several of his grandchildren (three from Russia and one from China). From there, he got connected to World Orphans as a donor, fell in love with the approach of working through churches, and later accepted his role as Board Director. Pete is an avid pheasant and quail hunter and loves trout fishing. He also loves to spend time on his ranch. Pete and his wife, Pat, live in Arkansas. They have two sons, one daughter, and ten grandchildren.
