Francois-Albert Murat

OVC Program Director of Haiti

Francois' Story

Allow us to introduce you to our Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) program director of Haiti, Francois-Albert Murat. Francois works closely with local Haitian pastors to develop meaningful relationships with our church partners, while ensuring that the children within the churches’ OVC programs are thriving. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and previously worked as a youth pastor and community center director, Francois has found that his new role at World Orphans “fits like a glove.”  Though Francois has no children of his own, if you sit down to talk with him, he’ll tell you that he feels a paternal responsibility for every child in Haiti’s OVC program. When he’s not caring for children or connecting with local pastors, you may find Francois watching a classic movie, enjoying music, or taking a walk in the park.
