Tacy joined the staff of World Orphans in January 2016. As our writer/editor, Tacy offers her skills and experience to writing-intensive projects, such as articles, reports, editorials, and reviews. Through her writing, she aims to bring stories of our partnerships to life, invite people to meet the orphans we serve, and celebrate the big God and dedicated churches that make it all possible. About her role, Tacy says, “This is where it all comes together for me. This is where my passion meets my talent and my joy meets my strength. This job is a dream-come-true for me and is the answer to the many prayers I’ve prayed for purpose in my work.”
She graduated from Fairmont State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Following graduation, Tacy worked for a local publication as a marketing administrator. Her experience with international missions began in 2008 when she traveled to Malawi, Africa. That journey left a burden in her heart for the orphan.
Tacy married her best friend, Bob, in 2010, and has three cats (Zeus, Luna, and Athena). Her spirit thrives in the outdoors: hiking, cross country skiing, rafting, and running allows her to explore new places and refocus. When she’s not doing these activities, you may find her with one of three things in her hand: a cup of coffee, a camera, or a cat.
