The needs of the orphan are great, as are the variety of solutions. Many western churches desire to not only make a long-term impact on the lives of orphans, but to develop a continuing relationship with an indigenous church that shares a common goal.
Church-to-church (C2C) partnerships create an incredibly effective solution that allows the western church to work alongside the indigenous church by providing monthly financial support and sending yearly teams to engage in the day-to-day work of ministering to the orphans in their community.
Our goal is that EACH World Orphans indigenous church would be partnered with a western church. In some cases where the indigenous church is involved in multiple ministries (i.e. home based care, residential home, educational programs) more than one U.S. church may be partnered.
A C2C Partnership is a covenant agreement between one or more western churches and a World Orphans indigenous church ministry partner. The covenant defines the terms and parameters of the partnership commitment and lays the foundation to build a strong C2C partnership and accomplish the stated goals. A covenant agreement is based on faith that God, through “The Church”, will provide the human and financial resources needed to accomplish the goals of the partnership.
The World Orphans Regional Advocate team would love to talk with you and provide more details on our church-to-church model.
