Meet Senior Mobilization Director Kate! From Alcoa, Tennessee, Kate has served World Orphans since January 2009. Before coming to World Orphans, Kate earned a sociology degree at Wheaton College and spent two years as a caregiver at a children’s home in the US. Well-traveled, Kate has spent time in Ethiopia, Haiti, Kenya, South Africa, and Uganda. Some highlights of Kate’s role: she helped launch a sports ministry, wrote a biblically-based PE curriculum, and developed sports outreach materials for World Orphans. She also reflects that when she traveled internationally, a highlight was meeting our church partners and those who cared for the children. “Now, it’s an honor to mobilize our staff and church partners.” She feels grateful to be part of what God is doing through His church around the world, as she strives to mobilize with excellence. When she’s not working, you’ll find Kate reading, being outside, playing her violin, and spending time with people. She has been married for 12 years, and she has two daughters.
