Amber’s Story – 33 Days of Hope

Amber’s father died in a car accident when she was only 3 years old, but she still remembers the way he used to hold her and her younger brother in his arms.

Shortly after her father’s death, Amber’s mother left the children with their grandmother and never returned. Unfortunately their grandmother was too sick to care for them.

A few years later, Amber and her brother came to a World Orphans Training Center in Beijing where they have a new housemother and father to care for them. They are also able to take part in ESL, computer, drama, music & dance programs that the Training Center operates.

Though it took some time to get adjusted, Amber and her brother are now part of a close-knit family.

“When I grow up, I would like to help in a lot of things. I am even in a choir practicing for performance,” Amber wrote. “Recently I became a child of God. I have a father who would never leave me!”

Thousands of children like Amber are receiving help from our partner churches in 14 different countries. But without the support of our generous donors, these projects could not survive.

This holiday season, World Orphans needs 300 individuals or families who will commit to giving $33 a month to help children like children like Amber and others that you will learn about during these 33 days.

Will you help World Orphans give the gift of hope to these children?

As a way of thanking you for your support we’ll send you a free gift. (More details.)
